The PMA celebrated the Medicine Week nationwide as mandated by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 439 issued by then President Elpidio Quirino in 1957. This year’s 60th Medicine Week Celebration was scheduled September 24-30, 2017 with the theme “PMA: Ilaw at Haligi ng Pangkalahatang Kalusugan”.

We, the medical community strongly oppose House Bill 6517 proposing the legalization of Cannabis in the Philippines. As physicians, we are ethically bound to promote and protect the best interest of our patients.

The Philippine Medical Association Poster-Making Contest aims to involve Filipino artists to create a poster to visualize and promote awareness to the PMA Theme: "Changing mindsets in charting the future."

The PMA Photo Contest is a competition for all physician photographers of the Philippine Medical Association. It encourages enthusiats and seasoned photographers of PMA to use their cameras to capture creative images that inspire and show happiness seen in healthcare in the Philippines.
